Character Details

Having escaped a dungeon's clutches, the now-orphaned Vel found herself having been ejected in a faraway foreign land without any connections or capital to speak of. It was only thanks to the kindness of a local guard that she was able to learn to read, write, speak sea tongue, and most importantly cook, but it had been clear even that wasn’t meant to last. Between the guard’s poor salary and the local clans all distrustful of one another to the point of threatening war, it was almost as though she were destined for a life of instability. That was until she witnessed Combat Chef Cremi in action. The chef's sheer skill and charisma inspired Vel's newfound personal philosophy and goal in life: bring everyone together through food. She practiced her heart out to make all sorts of fantastical dishes, and even dove into dangerous dungeons just to find rare ingredients, and eventually, the two became the dynamic duo that managed to save their city from famine and war — though perhaps not without almost accidentally causing the latter.

RP Information

Restless and always needing to move in some way, yet also well-mannered with a hint of bite behind her words. For example, when remarking on a dish, she may say, “2 cups of salt in the dish, I see. Well, I suppose if we ever needed a way to get rid of snails in the kitchen, we have it,” while tapping her foot. She is competitive, quick to irritate, and can be petty and vengeful if you push her, but she also has a kind heart and soft spot for those struggling against society.
