Character Details

A young legendary still ascertaining his role in his world, Luminos hasn't experienced much outside of the rather tiny archipelago that made his home. He has explored the skies and seas, sure, and often observes mortals at a distance, but that's just it. Though he sets off for the purposes of reconnaissance and to sate his knowledge, they are simple and self centered affairs where Luminos oft utilizes the light-bending abilities of his kind to remain invisible. Outside of his immediate bonds, his impressions of others are based on observation, not interaction. In combination with the incredibly high standards he keeps for himself and embodying the prideful nature of dragons, Luminos tends to hold disdain towards deviants and underachievers. With a goal of simply chasing after the best version of himself, Luminos is always on the lookout for avenues to sharpen his body and spirit. Then one day, an invitation called to him and he was all too eager to answer.

RP Information

Luminos is uptight and proper, holding himself in high regard. However, his knowledge mainly comes from observation and readings, rarely interactions. It is the biggest adjustment he will be making upon joining CA. Though knowledgeable and clever, he is lacking in street smarts. While he is quick to criticize, he is sympathetic towards those seeking improvement. In general, expect the tone of most Luminos scenes to be dictated by how willing you are to indulge him. There is a time and place to knock him down a peg or two though! Though typically dismissive, Luminos will indulge those who wish to converse with him for most reasons. Sharpening one's ability to hold rousing conversation is part of the path to self improvement after all, or so they say.

Skills and Abilities

Luminos prides himself in his potent psychic powers and ability to manipulate light, thoroughly enjoying using them in tandem with the other skills he has at his disposal. He considers himself well versed in flight, bragging about his speed and control. Though he generally prefers finesse to pure power, Luminos can and will resort to pure power if he feels the need to. In practice, his pursuit of excellence translates to a very strong liking towards moves and abilities that improve his combat ability via stat buffs.

Moxie

Once per turn, KOing or Staggering an enemy boosts the user's Attack and Magic by +1.

Competitive

Once per turn, when the user is within Ally range of someone with a higher buff in a stat than they have, the user may match that buff by paying 1 Tempo per stage gained.

Sheer Force

User may spend 5 Tempo on an attack that has a secondary effect (e.g. applies a buff, debuff, or status effect) to gain a +50% damage modifier on that attack. While doing so, user cannot access any secondary effects on that attack.

Perks

Magician's Kit

User gains access to the moves Nasty Plot, Mystical Power, Calm Mind, Air Cutter, and Giga Drain and the abilities Sheer Force, Moxie, and Competitive. The user can only hotkey one of these moves at a time.

Lucky Start

For each FP invested in this Perk, the user starts battle with +2 Tempo.

Surging Start

User starts battle with 1 Surge Point.

Bulldoze

User's moves and status applications do not suffer penalties from unfavorable Type Effectiveness.

Victory Cry

Once per turn, if an enemy is KOed or Staggered by the user, gain +1 offenses and defenses.
