Character Details

On the surface, Zevya's life is uneventful. She was born in the village of Boreal’s March on the Parhelion Archipelago, one of Olodor’s northernmost settlements; she is the older of two pups, with her younger brother Dazhja being born a year later; she learnt wood carving from a very young age from her weavile father and how to hunt and provide for the village from her mother. But things changed after evolving on her fifteenth birthday. Odd, faded markings appeared on her pelt and she would have dreams of travelling to other worlds, dreams that faded from memory after a few short hours. When she offhandedly mentioned these dreams to one of her village elders, Zevya learnt that she had awakened as a Worldwalker – pokémon with the ability to cross the boundaries of worlds through dreams. At the elder's behest, Zevya began to chronicle these adventures within numerous journals. To practice her skills, Zevya would carve wooden sculptures and figurines of people and symbols depicted within her journals' pages. Yet Zevya has begun to find herself increasingly troubled by echoes of a life on a world called "Dodra" and the memories of another world known as "Erdea" that lie just below the surface. Neither they nor the accounts of others align with the details of Zevya's life and now, Zevya is more determined than ever to uncover the truth of the matter. She's just not sure if she can handle it.

RP Information

Befitting of her mentor role, Zevya is a laid back character who is always happy to help and give advice to those who want or need it but is no stranger to getting serious, especially in combat. However, there is plenty for her to still learn, particularly in relation to Dodra and her many, many sealed memories as more about her and Erdea's pasts come to light. While she now knows the gist of what happened on Dodra, there's a part of her that hasn't fully accepted the story because if it's true... Everything she knows about herself would be a lie.

Skills and Abilities

Zevya is an incredibly skilled hunter and tracker, able to rush down her prey with little effort thanks to her speed. Living in a polar region has left her well-adapted to the cold but with an appalling heat tolerance. Being a zoroark, she is able to use illusions and is even capable of mimicry; a standard of Olodoran zorua and zoroark. Her Worldwalking abilities gives her detailed knowledge on travel to other worlds and similar distortions that may appear in dungeons. Zevya keeps a journal and is particularly knowledgeable of any world detailed within. She is also acutely aware of feral mannerisms and naturally speaks the tongue, being considered "half-feral" herself. Niche Skills: Worldwalking, mimicry, half-feral.

Pory-Psi Companion

Due to the nature of Zevya's memories, it appears that her porypsi has a propensity to change personas whenever she makes a major breakthrough. The psi seems to pick personas with the intent of bringing Zevya closer to the truth. Current Persona: Feris, a shiny naganadel that worked for the "Renegade Branch" for the Ultra Recon Squad. He's blunt, dour, and rather perturbed by something. He was apparently pulled from the memories of Erdea. Previous Personas: Io, larvesta.

Abilities

Illusion

User can create a 1-HP typeless Substitute in an adjacent space as a free action. Until the substitute is dispelled or the user's position is exposed in some other way, the user is invisible to enemies. The Subtitute has 0 Stamina, 1 action, and cannot Brace, Surge, use Items, use moves, or do anything that would require physical contact. Substitutes do not naturally inherit Abilities, Perks, Statuses, or other abstract shared resources of the user. Once this Substitute is dispelled, user cannot create another one until they Restore.

Moxie

Once per turn, KOing or Staggering an enemy boosts the user's Attack and Magic by +1.

Competitive

Once per turn, when the user is within Ally range of someone with a higher buff in a stat than they have, the user may match that buff by paying 1 Tempo per stage gained.

Sheer Force

User may spend 5 Tempo on an attack that has a secondary effect (e.g. applies a buff, debuff, or status effect) to gain a +50% damage modifier on that attack. While doing so, user cannot access any secondary effects on that attack.

Perks

Magician's Kit

User gains access to the moves Nasty Plot, Mystical Power, Calm Mind, Air Cutter, and Giga Drain and the abilities Sheer Force, Moxie, and Competitive. The user can only hotkey one of these moves at a time.

Aura Override

The user can cast physical attacks as special attacks.

Lucky Start

For each FP invested in this Perk, the user starts battle with +2 Tempo.

Bulldoze

User's moves and status applications do not suffer penalties from unfavorable Type Effectiveness.

Heartbeat

Using a move generates +3 Tempo instead of +2.

Efficient Bracer

Bracing costs 1 action instead of 1.5 actions.
