A faction within the Overworld that was supposedly founded in the wake of the Dodra Catastrophe. Little is known, besides the fact that they oppose they appear adversarial to the Overseers but do not appear hostile to the Cadets.
Name
Dodra Catastrophe
Type
Event
A tremendous recent Catastrophe within the Overworld in which a rogue entity known as Dodra devoured countless worlds and imprisoned the souls within. The Catastrophe was unraveled after a very long time by insurgents within aided by Overseer interference, resulting in a long and complicated reconstruction and healing period for the freed worlds and souls.
Name
Pory-Psi
Type
Concept
Presented as an 'uncorrupted' evolution to Porygon2, Pory-Psi are a marvel of technology the Overseers developed for navigating between worlds. The vessels can near-perfectly replicate the memories of the soul they host to emulate their bodies and abilities, while augmenting them with additional capabilities and compatibility with technologies such as the Nexus.
Name
Blacklight Crisis
Type
Event
An incident in which a variant of the PMD world, Cibus, came under threat of a destructive mixture of Shadow-type and Radiant-type energy known as Blacklight. The crisis brought several people in from the human world, including Red, Silver, and Giovanni, while an Overseer Dark Matter named Diyem disregarded protocols and gathered a bunch of heroes from several worlds to fight to protect Cibus. Ultimately, it was found that a version of Team Rainbow Rocket's Giovanni sought this power for himself. However, his gambit collapsed and the energy proved too much for him to handle. The summoned heroes put a stop to it and peacefully returned to their own worlds. Notable people involved in this include: Giovanni (one of the deans), Aria (Mike's girlfriend), Owen (Sera's dad), Serperior Sage (Astrid's teammate), and Kora (Kane's psibuddy).
Name
Blacklight Eternal Crisis
Type
Event
A second version of the Blacklight Crisis that happened on a different Cibus, involving a different Blacklight energy entity. This crisis also drew in several humans, including alternates of Red, Silver, and Giovanni... and was also opposed by several heroes summoned from various worlds by an Overseer Diyem. They even got to meet the heroes of the original Blacklight Crisis for a little while! Instead of Giovanni as the main driver for the crisis, however, the Blacklight corrupted Zoroark Ionys, who hid on the moon and orchestrated a nearly successful gambit involving several patsies, including Giovanni himself, to acquire immense amounts of Blacklight energy. He was stopped at the last minute, but the Eternal Blacklight gained enough sentience to threaten Cibus and neighboring universes. Fortunately, the summoned heroes were able to put a stop to it and help it be reborn as a fledgling spirit. Notably, both Rocky and Tama were born on Cibus during this crisis. Other notable figures involved include Owen (different from the one in the first Blacklight Crisis) and Astrid.
Name
Kronos
Type
Concept
Kronos is a primordial. An ageless entity rumored to have existed even before the Overworld and Overseers. A self-proclaimed Voice of Time, Kronos claims to represent reality's desire for a state of chaos, where catastrophes run rampant and can only be stopped if each world has the power to save itself. Kronos also claims to lack a spirit and not be bound by the domain rules that apply to traditional gods. Because every world has people who harbor thoughts and desires related to time, he can extend his presence into any world he feels like. Taking issue with the Overseers belief in order and the Overworld as a stabilizing presence, Kronos seeks to counter that by creating alternate timelines of existing worlds and nudging events in different directions to produce wildly different futures. In the past, he stuck mainly to worlds that the Overseers were either unaware of or avoided entirely due to hostilities. However, his attempts at duplicating the world of Kilo caught the Overseers' attention as one of their own was a part of the world Kronos duplicated. He went into hiding on a world called Quantus, opting for a quieter life of rescuing fallers and allowing them to live out their lives on Quantus. However, Quantus attracted the attention of Dodra. When Dodra tried to absorb Quantus, Kronos fought against it. Though he couldn't outright defeat Dodra, he forced it to retreat. The battle left him drained of energy. Kronos raised a temple using the souls of Quantus' population. He went into deep hibernation. The temple became a mystery dungeon that would draw in heroic souls and trap them in its confines so Kronos could leech their energy. Eventually, this proved enough for Kronos to awaken from hibernation and resume his original work. He started by gathering information on the Dodra catastorphe. Then he captured the world of Tempus and chained it to Quantus. Using what he learned from Dodra, Kronos stole the divine power of Tempus' legends, rendering them mortal. He sealed their memories, leading them to believe they were a small tribe that had resided on Quantus for generations and to worship him. With everything in place, Kronos once again began duplicating timelines, starting with Nikki's universe. He came to learn of Catastrophe Academy and, thinking it represents the Overseers desire to instill greater order upon reality, began to act more aggressively. Before he could get too far into his plans, however, a group of Overseers showed up on Tempus and began to fight him. With his main body locked in battle, Kronos is forced to rely on subterfuge and a poisoned tongue to get Catastrophe Academy to disband. According to multiple Overseers, Kronos holds the Heart of Chaos. What exactly this is and what powers it gives him are unclear. He has the ability to inflict people with Sandblight, a strange anomaly that appears to "corrode the soul." However, nobody knows what its effects truly are yet...
Name
Team Radiance
Type
Group
A group of Overseers united by their shared light blessings, giving them the power of Radiance (or whatever a specific world's equivalent is). The original Team Radiance was an exploration team formed by Ninetales Shane and Lucario Tessa in a version of the PMD world that had a unique, island-based continent known as Horizon. The team helped to save the world from destruction at the hands of Necrozma Nicholas/Nicky, a human-turned-growlithe-turned-necrozma and Shane's ex-friend from his human life. Unbeknownst to the heroes, their restoration of the world created unintended ripple effects in surrounding universes. This caught the attention of the Overseers. After a long investigation, the Overseers asked Shane to come with them to the Overworld. He agreed, but only on the condition that he could live out a mortal life. Shane began working with the Overseers, but continuously disregarded their protocols and marched to the beat of his own drum. Shane traversed worlds and the spaces between them, recovering lost souls and healing them in a Tree of Life he crafted. He eventually formed a new Team Radiance made up of a mixture of other Overseers and those he had bestowed light blessings to in his travels. The team's primary purpose remains salvaging lost souls, but they will also step in in times of crisis, even when ordered not to. Following the Eternaverse catastrophe, Shane opted to "retire" and handed Team Radiance off to one of his recruits. However, he ended up rejoining his allies when his investigations into Kronos spurred him to take action. Members of the team who were meant to be CAD faculty include Ninetales Shane, Necrozma Tama, and Xerneas Angel.
